  • Everything I ordered was made fresh to order and served hot. The portion sizes are VERY generous for the prices. In fact, I couldn't finish the regular size bowl, but that may have been because I also ordered the Thai coconut soup (which was delicious with a nice spice kick) since I had never eaten here and didn't know what the actual portion sizes would be. Even meat eaters would be satisfied here as the vegan proteins taste really good and mimic meat in terms of texture and chew. I went for a late dinner (about an hour before they closed) and the restaurant was still about half full of all their tables. A strong suggestion is to ensure the kiosks allow customers to request NO CILANTRO for those of us who find it tastes disgusting. The only way I could cover this need was on the name I put on the order was to add "NO CILANTRO" after my name, and then also to get the attention of the staff making the food to ensure they knew to omit cilantro. Other options are on the kiosk to omit/add items, not not the option to select omit cilantro.

  • I’ve gotten takeout here for both lunch and dinner, as it’s a quick and convenient option for vegan food whenever I’m in downtown DC and hungry. They have a great rewards program and the employees are kind and helpful. So far I’ve tried the jalapeño steak and cheese egg rolls (delicious, would especially recommend for non-vegetarians), mom’s style fried rice (very large portion), crispy lemon parm brussels (super tasty), ube cold brew latte, and pumpkin truffles (ok, but not as good as an actual dim sum place). Would recommend eating the food as soon as possible (or reheating) because it tastes best warm!

  • Absolutely the best vegan fried chicken we’ve ever had – crispy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The dumplings and sauces were also outstanding, full of taste and clearly made with care. Portions are huge and perfect for sharing. Everything was prepared quickly, but still tasted fresh and well made. We loved it so much, we came back a second time! The dish in the photo is their amazing fried cauliflower – a must-try on the menu. If you’re looking for bold vegan comfort food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

  • My daughter took us here today as one of her favorite vegetarian lunch spots. It was fantastic. It was all good but especially liked the Disco Stick Giant Egg Roll. If you’re vegetarian it’s a great place as you can’t go wrong with anything.

  • When visiting downtown today, Pow Pow was a convenient option. I was pleased with the menu, prices, food quality, and portions. The manager even came out and asked if we had questions, and offered to let me sample an item to test its spiciness. All of the staff were friendly. It was a good experience.

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pow Pow’s DC was an absolute win—especially on Christmas Eve! Our food was delivered right on time, the portions were very generous, and everything was incredibly delicious. The Asian-inspired fried cashew cheese fritters were a standout—crispy, flavorful, and so satisfying. The deli wrap appetizer was also really yummy and comforting. On top of that, the pricing was excellent, especially for high-quality vegan food. We’ll definitely be ordering again!

  • Loved our meals, especially Mongolian beef with broccoli. You order on iPads and then watch the chefs cook you food from a distance, so it’s not really a hospitable experience… but the place has nice vibes and you don’t have to tip a waiter

  • Woah! Vegan or not - this is a must try in DC! Their whole menu is mouth watering. Even dining alone I had to order more than one dish and opt for leftovers; I'm so glad I did. The flavors are decent and balanced, the textures are satisfying (crunchy, creamy, dreamy), and the staff is very kind. Cannot recommend this spot enough! Go and go with people to order as much as you can!
